Stuff's Arriving

Well, we stayed in the first Temporary Lodging Facility (TLF) for two nights, then yesterday while Derek was at work I had to transfer all of our stuff from one room to another.  Mind you, check out time is 11, and check in at 2, so this was interesting.  I also did the maintenance inspection for the house.  When they looked at the super old eye-sore of a gas stove, one of the burners wouldn't light and neither would the oven.  So they were talking and discussing possibly replacing it with a newer one out of a house being redone.  I chimed in and said, "ya that would be great!"  Only somewhat kidding, and luckily they didn't think it was rude, instead they took me up on it.  We still have a gas stove, but it's pretty close to new, and looks great.  It's white to match the other appliances instead of steel and black.  YAY!
Tomorrow is when the movers should be coming to unload all of our stuff, and I am so excited to get things set up.  Which unfortunately means an early start since Derek has to drop me off at the house before heading to work at 7:30.

Grayson obviously enjoys chewing on daddy's dog tags.
Now, what you've all been waiting for...the Grayson update.  He isn't quite crawling still, but he is getting so close.  One night in the pack'n'play that he has been sleeping in, he was playing then I looked in and he was on his hands and knees rocking the entire thing front to back.  He thought it was great and was laughing the whole time!  So now, he thinks this is the funnest new thing and does it quite often when he is on his stomach.  This little boy cracks me up, he really is amazing.
This may be mean, but I thought it was cute...he was playing with his Buc-ees sippy cup having a grand old time then bonked it on his head.  It took like ten seconds before he realized what happened and his face finally changed from happy and smiling to crying.  It was so delayed that I thought he was fine.  He was of course totally fine, and just that much cuter!
Storytime!

Tonight was great!  Derek had a dental appointment, and got home a little bit early so we went out for a walk on some of those gorgeous trails I was telling you about.   You can see the beautiful mountains from everywhere, they are literally on every side.  Also from the trail the Salt Lake is visible, but the sun was in just the wrong spot so I don't think you can tell from the pictures.  Don't worry, Grayson was all bundled up and warm, but he really enjoyed watching Lola and all the birds flying around.  They have a different type of bird than we have ever seen, it's quite pretty though.  I'll try to take pictures of it next time we go walking.  All these pictures are from our walk.

After we got home and Grayson ate his dinner, he also had his first shower.  It was bath night tonight, but the TLF we are in only has a shower, so we improvised.  Grayson seemed to enjoy it once we got the hang of things and quit getting his face wet.  He was pretty worn out after a busy day of playing, so I think we will get another full night of sleep (this will be the third full night!)
