Little Birthday Boy

     Grayson must have known that it was his birthday on Friday because he was in a great mood!  He just played while Sarah and I baked and decorated.  We had a lot of fun creating cake owls which we gave eyes, beaks and wings.  Grayson got his very own cupcake (also of cake) that was very chocolaty!

     Our biggest experiment however was making these cakepops!  It was a great excuse to make them earlier in the week as a test (ofcourse we ate the first batch!).  They were most difficult than I had anticipated, but I think they turned out adorable!

     We had so much fun with everyone here!  Grayson had fun ripping open the packages and playing with all the new toys!  Such a hit!  He totally knew that he was the center of attention, and he just soaked it up!  He ran around chasing one of our friends sons and squealing!

     My favorite part though had to be the cake!  It was his first taste of sugar!  At first he was a little hesitant, and didn't dive in quite like I expected...but once he got going, there was no stopping him.

     Here is the before and after for you...

covered!!!-->
     He loved the chocolaty goodness, and ate to his hearts content!  So in order to clean up, we went outside and let him play with the hose!  It was so much easier than to try scrubbing him down.  But as usual, when it was time to come inside he wanted nothing to do with it, he only wanted to play!

     These are the lovely family portraits with those who were visiting!  We had a blast, and were so glad they could be here to celebrate with us!!!

(laughing to hard)

(so cute that Grayson is staring at Grandpa)

The cute thing is that grandpa was looking at Grayson just as sweetly right before I snapped the pic :)
