Christmas with the Goulds

Well, as you can guess Grayson had a blast opening all these presents!  We stacked them all up on the table the night before, and his eyes got so wide when he came down and saw them all.  However he had no problem tearing everything to pieces!

Here is one of the many pictures of him shredding wrapping paper.  For all the pics go to our photobucket page.

And this of course his the aftermath of our little munchkin having so much fun.  He looks so mischievous!  I just love that look.  We played with the trash for another 30 minutes or so, sadly I think that was almost as exciting to him as the opening part.
So to sum it up, we had a wonderful Christmas morning which was completed with French Toast Bake!  I found the recipe on pinterest, you can see it HERE.  It really was just as good as it seems, and I made it with some homemade bread!
Breakfast was followed by lots of cleaning up and vacuuming, then phone calls and Skype.  While Grayson was down for a nap we cooked the turkey (turned out GREAT), homemade stuffing (this was my first attempt, and it turned out good too), sweet potato casserole, and homemade rolls.  It took us about 6 hours to get all the cooking done, and just in time for our dinner guests.  It was so much fun to pull out our nicer plates and decorate the table for a simple and quiet Christmas dinner.
I can't wait until next year when we will be able to start lots of Christmas traditions that Grayson just wouldn't have understood this year.  It's going to be great!
