Our House

So, as promised here are the pictures.  This first one is of our house.  It's actually a duplex, as is most military housing.  But I love it!  Hopefully soon, things will be unpacked enough to show you pictures of the inside.

Our home, with a little snow.
This is the awesome view from our backyard.

The playground behind our house.

Derek is enjoying work, and is adjusting to the environment there.  I have met one of our neighbors so far, and that's it.  I think the only thing I know for sure is that people aren't as social as I had thought.  Even on the weekends and when it's a beautiful day outside, everyone is inside their homes.  We have gone walking, and spent time in the yard, and still haven't met people.
That reminds me, yesterday we went walking again on the trails here on base.  It's a 3 mile track, and we jogged about 2 miles of it.  I don't know why, but it was almost impossible to catch my breath!  Jogging where the altitude is 5500 feet takes your breath away.  It was really very beautiful though!

So more of an update, now that Grayson is settled down, and fed.  Today, he did the cutest thing.  While playing on the floor, he noticed that the area under his bed is dark, so he rolled over on his side and was trying to look underneath.  He laid there for almost a full minute.  I reassured him there were no monsters under his bed.
Since we've arrived, Grayson has been taking baths in the tub and he is doing great at sitting upright.  He loves splashing!!!  Now that we're giving him toys to play with, he likes to stay in for 5-10 minutes after we finish.  Funny thing is that he likes the wash-rag better than any of the toys.  Isn't that how it always works?  Stuff that isn't actually a toy makes the best toy.  Sometimes he plays with a tic tac box with a few tic tacs in it for 20 minutes.  I have the cutest little boy!
Grayson has started to giggle all the time!  He laughes at everything, like Lola walking past, snow, his feet, and ofcourse tickling!  I need to get a video, hopefully that will be coming soon!

Much love, more to come!
