It's Just a Scratch

Grayson took his first spill, he was playing with the TV stand and bumped his nose on the edge of one of the cabinets.  The first few pictures are before his bath and it looks worse than it is, mind you he is still pretty darn happy.  At first I didn't even realize that he had a cut because he turned around smiling, crawled a few steps, then started to cry.  My poor little boy!

This second set of pictures is the very next day.  Most of the scab washed off during his bath, then you could barely see it!  (The second set of pictures he is eating peach chunks which he loves.)  So he has now officially gotten his first cut, sadly I realize there are many more to come.

I do realize that this totally makes me an overprotective and very analytical mom, but since this happened I have started to look into the nearest hospital and where I should take him should anything really bad ever happen.  I mean...he's a boy, so it's bound to happen.  I'm trying not to think that this makes me a "Negative Nancy" I'm just being proactive, right?

Oh, you are not being overprotective; when Christian was about this age I asked his pediatrician what Hospital to take him to if the need arises. I also asked him what signs to look for to determine if he needed to be seen by a medical professional after a head injury. I asked these on the same day and the Dr. laughed at me and asked if I had my hands full.
