Giais on the Rock
Another week of work done, I didn't realize how hard going back to work would be. I have gotten used to (and enjoyed) cooking a large part of the day, and am now having to select my recipes for the week based on prep time. That's just one of many adjustments, another being a 9 pm bedtime.
Anyway, we have had a nice weekend of waking up after 5:00am. Giais is a very small town, but puts on a pretty big show once a year. They call it Giais on the Rock. We went last night despite the drizzle. Put the kiddos in rain jackets, Riley selected rain boots, and of course umbrellas.
We arrived expecting quite a crowd, but it seems the rain helped keep it low key. Plus the real show doesn't start until 8. They actually have a live band and great guitarist, which we enjoyed listening to from the couch after the kids were in bed. While we were there, we met a nice family with two girls who absolutely loved our boys! They spoke Romanian, but the parents spoke English as well. The kids ran and played in the rain for a good 2 hours!
And now we are closing out the weekend listening to tonight's show, which by the sound of it has a much bigger turn-out. I'm hoping to go again next weekend...we need to find a babysitter for these two scoundrels.

Just a sweet photo-op we couldn't resist.
